FAQs
Is your organization approved by the Los Angeles school district?
Yes. All of the field trips we offer are Los Angeles Unified School District Vendor Approved, Licensed and Insured.
Is your company insured?
We carry more than the required amount of insurance and can show proof of insurance if need be.
Do you accept purchase orders?
Yes, we will accept POs, cash, or credit.
What is your reservation policy?
We require a $100 deposit or a copy of the purchase order to hold the date.
How many students can participate in the field trip?
We can accomodate up to 300 students at one time.
What ages of students can participate in the field trip?
We will allow students from Preschool through 12th grade. We also encourage parents to come and they will be eligible for a special discount ticket.
Is there a required student to teacher ratio?
No, but we encourage teachers and parents to attend.
What days and times are the field trips available?
Please call (562) 983-6880 to find out what days and times are available
Where do you check in?
Please have one person check-in at least 20 minutes prior to departure at the ticketbooth located at dock #2.
The rest of the group may line up along the railing to the right of the dock entrance. Note: Physical tickets will not be handed out, we will just need the final group count.
Do you have restrooms on board?
Yes, our boats offer multiple restrooms.
What type of clothing/shoes/hat/glasses should we wear?
Wear warm clothing, preferable wind proof, non-skid shoes, a head cover, sunglasses, and smile.
Is there anything to eat or drink on board?
Yes, a snack bar is aboard with cold and warm beverages,
as well as candy, hot dogs and packaged snacks to satisfy your hunger. We recommend students bring $5 for the snack bar. Outside food and beverages are not allowed,
but there's a grass area in front of the Aquarium where students can eat packed lunches after.
Is the cruise designed to safely accomodate children?
Yes, high railings around each boat, non-skid decks, and a well trained staff help keep children safe.
We have more than enough life jackets for all passengers in the rare case of an emergency.
How large are the boats?
65 to 80 feet long, 20 feet wide, twin engine, double deck, with raised pilot house.
How fast do the boats go?
Approximately 12 to 18 knots.
Is your staff experienced?
We've been providing safe and educational field trips for the past 10 years.
Our experienced Captains and crewmembers make it their priority to please and satisfy our clients!
Does weather effect the cruise?
The only time weather will effect a cruise is if the Coast Guard tells us it's not safe.
Do you give refunds?
We have a no refund policy, but we can give you credit towards a future cruise.
What are your ticket prices?
Forty-five Minute Long Beach Harbor cruise.......... $5.00 Students* $10 Adults
One and a half hour LA/LB Harbor cruise............. $7.00 Students* $13 Adults
Two and a half hour Pacific Ocean cruise...............$12.00 Students* $18 Adults
Two and a half hour Whale Watching cruise...........$12.00 Students* $18 Adults
Two and a half hour Marine Science cruise...........Please call for prices and availability
*Students are considered children Kindergarten through 12th grade.
