Marine Science Cruise<title> <h1><font size="8" face="Verdena" color="#00CED1">Marine Science Cruise</font></h1> <body> <br> The Marine Science Cruise or the "LA County Floating Lab" is a 3 hour voyage into the open Pacific Ocean where students will learn about local marine life by a certified biologist. Our local biologist directs this entire educational program from beginning to end. </br> <br> The students board and before the boat has left the dock the students will know all the safety procedures and boat rules. They will also learn some important facts about the great Pacific Ocean. The biologist will discuss each of the 5 stations that will be set-up for the cruise. <br> <img src="school images/ScienceCruise.jpg"> </br> <br> During the cruise we will troll the waters with a net in search of marine life. We will also collect samples of the ocean floor and samples of the ocean water for analysis. The cruise offers five hands-on activity stations to draw the students into interacting with the exhibits, not merely watching from afar. Each student will have an opportunity to visit each of the five stations: <br> 1. The mud grabber, where soil from the ocean floor can be touched and analyzed <img src="school images/MudGrabber.jpg"> </br> <br> 2. The plankton station, Where plankton is gathered to analyze in the Plankton Lab <img src="school images/PlanktonNet.jpg"> </br> <br> 3. The plankton lab, where plankton is analyzed under a microscope <img src="school images/PlanktonLab.jpg"> </br> <br> 4. The water tester, where the amount of plankton in the Ocean is measured <img src="school images/WaterTester.jpg"> </br> <br> 5. The touch tank. This is where the students can touch the marine life captured from the net. <img src="school images/TouchTank.jpg"> <br> Each station provides a unique educational lesson from viewing live subjects to analyzing the components of the ocean floor, providing the student with a deeper awareness of the organic life supporting the vegetation and animals. </br> <br> All vessels used for the Marine Science Cruise are Coast Guard inspected and certified. Each vessel is also equipped with state-of-the-art microscopic equipment which allows the students to view and discuss plankton and other minute organisms of the sea. <br> Parents are encouraged to attend our field trips, but not required (unless required by the school). As a company we do not have any teacher to student ratio requirements. </br> <p align= "center"><font size="4"><b>All of the field trips we offer are Los Angeles Unified School District Vendor Approved, Licensed and Insured.</p></font></b> <br> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="border-collapse: collapse" width="100%" id="AutoNumber1"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#E4E4C9"><b> <font face="Arial MT Bold" size="6">Ticket Prices</font></b></td> </tr> </table> <p align="left">Forty-five Minute Long Beach Harbor cruise.......... $5.00 Students* $10 Adults</p> <p align="left">One and a half hour LA/LB Harbor cruise............. $7.00 Students* $13 Adults</p> <p align="left">Two and a half hour Pacific Ocean cruise............$12.00 Students* $18 Adults</p> <p align="left">Two and a half hour Whale Watching cruise...........$12.00 Students* $18 Adults</p> <p align="left">Two and a half hour Marine Science cruise...........Please call for prices and availability</p> <p align="left">*Students are considered children Kindergarten through 12th grade.</p> <br> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="border-collapse: collapse" width="100%" id="AutoNumber1"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#E4E4C9"><b> <font face="Arial MT Bold" size="4"> <table cellSpacing="0" cellPadding="5" width="100%" border="0"> <tr> <td align="middle"><span class="pc5b">Harbor Breeze Cruises</span> <br> 100 Aquarium Way, Dock #2, Long Beach, CA 90802<br> <font SIZE="6"><b>Toll Free  800-900-8188<br> </b></font> <b><font size="4">(562) 983-6880</font></b><font size="4"> - Fax: (562) 983-6883 </font><br> <a href="mailto:admin@longbeachcruises.com">admin@longbeachcruises.com</a></td> </tr> </table> <center> <h3>See Our Other Sites!</h3> <table borderColor="#ffffff" cellSpacing="3" cellPadding="3" width="100%" bgColor="#ffffff" border="0"> <tr vAlign="top"> <td> <table width="100%" bgColor="#ddffbb" border="0"> <tr> <td align="middle"><b>Whale Watching Cruises</b></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"><a href="http://2SeeWhales.com">2SeeWhales.com</a></td> </tr> </table> </td> <td> <table width="100%" bgColor="#ddffbb" border="0"> <tr> <td align="middle"><b>Harbor Cruises</b></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"><a href="http://Harbor-Cruises.com">Harbor-Cruises.com</a></td> </tr> </table> </td> <td> <table width="100%" bgColor="#ddffbb" border="0"> <tr> <td align="middle"><b>Dolphin & Marine Life Cruises</b></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"><a href="http://CaliforniaDolphinCruises.com"> CaliforniaDolphinCruises.com</a></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr vAlign="top"> <td> <table width="100%" bgColor="#ddffbb" border="0"> <tr> <td align="middle"><b>Wedding Cruises</b></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"><a href="http://LongBeachWeddingCruises.com"> LongBeachWeddingCruises.com</a></td> </tr> </table> </td> <td> <table width="100%" bgColor="#ddffbb" border="0"> <tr> <td align="middle"><b>Dinner Cruises</b></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"><a href="http://California-Dinner-Cruises.com">California-Dinner-Cruises.com</a></td> </tr> </table> </td> <td> <table width="100%" bgColor="#ddffbb" border="0"> <tr> <td align="middle"><b>Corporate Parties & Functions</b></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"><a href="http://LongBeachCruises.com"> LongBeachCruises.com</a></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr vAlign="top"> <td> <table width="100%" bgColor="#ddffbb" border="0"> <tr> <td align="middle"><b>Harbor Breeze Blog</b></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"><a href="http://newportbeachcruise.wordpress.com/"> newportbeachcruise.wordpress.com</a></td> </tr> </table> </td> <td> <table width="100%" bgColor="#ddffbb" border="0"> <tr> <td align="middle"><b>Blue Whale Count</b></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"><a href="http://www.californiabluewhales.com">Californiabluewhales.com</a></td> </tr> </table> </td> <td> <table width="100%" bgColor="#ddffbb" border="0"> <tr> <td align="middle"><b>Holiday Parties</b></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle"><a href="http://holidaycruiselongbeach.com"> Holidaycruiselongbeach.com</a></td> </tr> </table> </td> <tr> <td class="credits" bgColor="#b8b8ac" colspan="3" rowspan="3"> <p align="center"><br> Copyright © 2008 Harbor Breeze Cruises<br> </tr> </table> </center> </html></object></layer></span></div></table></body></html><!-- adsok --> <script language='javascript' src='https://a12.alphagodaddy.com/hosting_ads/gd01.js'></script>
